Even the most durable equipment needs to be upkept and maintained. At Laserblast we make it easy. Here are some tips to help you manage your heavily used laser tag equipment for longevity.
Mobile Laserblast Operator Techno-Tag helping a laser tag player into the Cyberblast Vest.
We’ve created our equipment to not only last, but also easy for operators to maintain using only a few tools. These tools make it easy to switch out and identify parts. The battery, components, and cables are all easily installable by operators and our customer service is there around the clock to help if needed. Specifically the difference between us and other laser tag equipment companies when it comes to maintenance is:
Having a daily maintenance checklist is extremely important for the health of your arena and its equipment and running a test game should be high up on that list. Running a test game every day before opening your arena is essential. This way you can make sure your entire system is up and running correctly and it also makes it easier to track problems with your equipment.
Keeping a log of laser tag equipment performance allows you and our customer service team to quickly and accurately identify any issues you may be having with your system and/or equipment. Using our diagnostic software will help you greatly with tracking the status of your arena. Which leads us to our next maintenance tip!
Our diagnostic software is extremely helpful when it comes to identifying and tracking issues with gear. It will also log issues for you when they arise.
A vest or phaser wont charge because it’s placed on the wireless charger crooked. Other times there might be an issue with the battery. Checking this every day and recording which chargers are not charging as efficiently can help you track potential issues with battery life. The diagnostic tool can check each charger and vest/phaser and tell you how much power they’re putting out/receiving.
This includes your arena. Vests, phasers, carpets, barricades and other elements of your arena that customers come into contact with will eventually show wear and tear. Making sure screws are tightened (not over tightened) and that any tears are repaired immediately will greatly increase the longevity of your laser tag arena and equipment.
Adding a daily cleaning routine will maximize the life span of your equipment. You can also implement a check for broken equipment along with the cleaning list:
