We recently installed CyberBlast Pro at the theme park’s new laser tag arena in Johannesburg, South Africa. To make it even more exciting, we also helped design the layout of their self-built, locally-themed arena. Let’s take a closer look at this new attraction!
From Model to Laser Tag Arena
When Gold Reef City Theme Park wanted to do a self-built laser tag arena, we were more than happy to assist them with the layout. After they provided us with the details we needed regarding the arena space, we were able to design them both a detailed layout and a 3D model of the future arena. The model layout contained all the details they needed from where to place barriers to lighting and electrical needs and more. From there, contractors were able to come in and build out the arena with the specs provided.
A Golden History
The arena theming was also handled by local artists. They choose a mining theme to connect with the local history of the area. There was a historical gold rush in the 1800s in what is now Johannesburg. The gold rush was what actually lead to the city being established in the first place. The artwork in their arena is beautiful and it is really neat to see how well they were able to represent their local history.
