Just as good food nourishes the body, good times with friends and family nourish the soul. The amusement industry serves our society by providing engaging and novel means to do both. So how do you get started in the amusement industry?
Our friends and partners at Creative Works hold an event called Amusement 360 for anyone serious about opening a family entertainment center or taking theirs to the next level.
Amusement 360 is a great place to meet and learn from industry experts in all its multifaceted fields. From attraction selection and facility management considerations to building out a food menu and developing leadership skills, you will be talking to and learning from the best in each respective market niche.
The Amusement 360 agenda includes networking, presentations, Q&A, a site visit to the Creative Works Theme Factory, and the ability to schedule 1-on-1 meetings with vendors like LaserBlast.
While it is always good to do your own research, getting in the same room with industry veterans and expert consultants will help bring your ideas a lot closer to being realized.
Here are a few tips for those of you who plan to visit:
- Prepare your Power Move: You will be encouraged to get on your feet, move around, and execute what is called a “Power Move.” You have been warned.
- Prepare to absorb a LOT of useful information: Creative Works has been doing this for a while, and they’ve curated both the experts they invite and have refined the ways to best convey relevant information. Keep a notebook handy, but be ready to snap some QR codes as well!
- Prepare to meet tons of great people: the amusement industry is populated by people who love facilitating a good time for others. It’s no surprise that the industry of fun is filled with fun people!
- Prepare for some great food: In our experience, the food has been outstanding. This is important because many modern hybrid centers also have to have any impressive food and beverage offering. At Amusement 360, Creative Works puts their money where their mouths are.
It’s not too late to Register.
If you can’t make it to Indianapolis, there are options to attend all the seminars online!
