“My name is Jeff Wainwright. I’m with Paradise Park in Novi, Michigan. We built this facility about 12 years ago. Its a ten acre entertainment complex that has a good blend of indoor features and a great deal of outdoor features also. We have been with Laserblast since we built the facility 12 years ago. We started off with their more basic system. Today we are very blessed to have the most modern featured content that they have available that has all types of features that nobody else in the industry has.
Probably my favorite game is being able to play a true capture the flap game that other people in this industry say they can play but not to the level it can be played with this system it is truly remarkable.”
Interviewer, ” Have you ever used a system that didn’t have wireless charging?”
Jeff laughs, ” Uhh, yeah! Certainly when we look at the featured content of this system one of the things that our employees like the best its has a wireless charging feature. The wireless charging feature means that basically from the time that the time from when we open the the time we close, we never have to deal with changing batteries, charging batteries, or deal with that type from an operational view. That gives us huge man power advantages, huge throughput advantages and we have virtually no down time on the equipment. Another advantage we have is the equipment is not being touched technically throughout its normal operation day. Which means we are not dealing with harness failures, mechanical failures, things that that. That gives us a huge quality advantage. We basically run 100% up time all the time 7 days a week. This puts us in a really good competitive position.
Certainly the wireless charging looks simple on the surface but it is technically a very sophisticated system. Basically when we put the vests on the racks, they are charged through an RF system that is safe and very functional. and it maintains the vests at 100% charge all of the time. The other thing it does is it manages the battery power/batter life very well so that the new lithium ion type technologies we can have extended life performance that cant be obtained when we are having to deplete the charge of the batteries. This gives us another huge operational advantage and puts us in a very technical superior position.
One of the things that helps us a lot on our players night, we do that once a week on our Saturday evening. It runs for a 2-3 hour period and we have anywhere from 20-100 kids come in for that. One of the featured content that the kids love with the new system is something thats identified as Cyberweb. Through their portable platform or phone not only can they see the status of the play that they just did, they can see archived play of what others have done also. This is great for creating a competitive spirit, team building type exercises, and its a great way for us to grow our business. I think nobody else has the featured content of the Cyberweb structure right now and this puts us in a very good competitive position in our marketplace.”
