It’s that time of year! From cider mills to haunted houses, many people will be headed out for some fall fun this Halloween season. Get your FEC in on the action and show guests a scary good time with these seasonal ideas for your laser tag attraction.
Utilize Dracula and Zombie Game Formats
Your pre-built CyberBlast Dracula and Zombie game formats tie in great with the spooky theme. Offer a laser tag night or two in October based specifically around these game formats. Have your staff dress up. Add a themed food item or cocktail to your menu. Consider a giveaway or raffle with some themed items.
With a little planning, you can cultivate an exciting and immersive Halloween event at your Fun Center. Just don’t forget to let people know about your event through social media, in-store advertising, flyers at local businesses or organizations, and more!
Zombie
Dracula
This is a Free For All Game. Work as a group or on your own. It’s up to you. Each player begins the game as a blue survivor. Soon after the game starts, the zombie outbreak begins. Any survivor who has been hit by a zombie will become infected. Zombies fire more slowly, but they also earn a bonus for each player infected. Survive as long as possible to earn bonus points. The last survivor of each round earns 10,000 points. Once all survivors have been turned, a new round begins. The player with the most points when time expires wins the game.
A Halloween themed game format in which one player is converted to Dracula as the game begins, turning their vest red. The remaining humans will be blue. As soon as a human is hit by Dracula, their vest turns red and they become Dracula as well. Every 5 seconds, a survival bonus is awarded to each remaining Human. The final Human is awarded a 10,000 point bonus, all but ensuring their victory. Once all players have been converted, the game is over.
Add Some Decorations
When it comes to Halloween decorations, a little bit can go a long way. Spiderwebs on the ceiling. Glowing eyes on the wall. Tattered gauze or sheets hanging down for guests to walk through. There are a lot of easy and inexpensive ways to spruce up your laser tag attraction for the season.
If you are looking for something a little scarier, there are endless creepy decorations that can be utilized. From fake body parts to plastic bugs, to larger stand-up monsters and animatronics, there are a plethora of options.
Host Haunted Laser Tag
Haunted houses are an extremely popular attraction this time of year. Get in on that fun by offering haunted laser tag. Find some of your staff who would be interested in being a scare actor for the night, dress them up, and host an event!
The scarers could roam the attraction for an added element of fun and surprise, or they could join in on a game with a “Monsters vs. Mortals” team-style game.
This is a great opportunity to build some extra enthusiasm around your laser tag attraction. Plus, you can easily charge a few dollars more per game for this premium experience. Just remember to get the word out so your guests know about the event!
Leaning into holidays and trending themes is a great way to get some extra traffic to your FEC. During October, there will be various seasonal attractions available, and getting in on the festivities can be a great way to compete with them.
There is no one-size-fits-all option, and no one knows your customers and community better than you! Take a little time to brainstorm on what type of fun your customers will be looking for this season and show them a spooky time at your FEC!
